The first is the Andean Outreach Program.  This
organization, headed by Terry McCormick and Alison
Varney, seeks volunteers and contributions for their
projects in
Perú.  We met this couple in Huancayo, where
they had spent most of one year deeply involved in projects
around the city.  They left their mark in very tangible ways
and hope to continue to be a positive force in that region.

They work with volunteers from across the United States
and around the world, sending monetary gifts and helping
to fund various projects in the Andean regions of Peru.
Theirs is a very exciting project, with many facets and a
long-range mission.

We have been coordinating our efforts with two other organizations.  Both of these groups have Non-Profit Organization status:
The second group is Perú Luz de Esperanza, established by Elizabeth
Tinoco Chinchilla and her husband, Nilton Tarazona Condor.  This
newly-registered organization was formed with one purpose in mind - to
work with the children and the community of Chupaca,
Péru.  This
extremely poor town outside of Huancayo is full of orphaned children,
many of whom live with extended family and work at the brick factory.

Having no access to standard education and essentially no health care,
these children live a very hard life.  It is "Ely" and Nilton's dream to
provide a "Light of Hope" for them by providing a home base in Chupaca
for volunteers from around the world.

They are beginning to receive volunteers and donations to help them with
their dreams. They also have the help of a few locals who are assisting
them at their school.  They have asked us to provide their link so that our
friends may see what their project is about and what their needs are.
Right now, they mostly need funds to help with the educational supplies
for the many children who sign up for their program daily.  They also need
volunteers to go and spend some time in the city to work with them on
their various educational and public health projects.
